I am supposed to write a book review but I want to know what details need to be included. I have read a lot of reviews from different stories so I have a small idea.
It is also different than a book report since it does not contain a summary like a book review.
Any help would be appreciated thanks.

Generally when you write a book review you want to include what you thought worked well, and didn’t work well in the novel. To do that you want to the reader some idea of how those aspects worked, and how you responded to them as a reader.
For instance, Dan Brown’s The Di Vinci Code is a very fast paced novel– in a review you might want to comment on how that helps or hurts the book and why.
Book reviews do tend to have summaries in them as well, but they are usually small paragraphs just briefly outlining the plot and characters so the reader knows what you’re referring to. If you’re doing this for a class and your teacher explicitly asked you not to include a summery then that’s different.
You need to read the book and give your opinion on what you read. At the end, you give it a ‘Must Read’ (Best) ‘Read’ (Eh, Okay) ‘Leave it on the Shelf’ (Stinks do not read– Worst Rating)
This is your Opinion!
